So out there somewhere a vast majority of people blame social networking for making new couples jump into bed faster. Props to Facebook and all the other social networking hooplah for helping peep's hook up but seriously?!
Turns out that Men's Fitness of all magazines did a survey with results showing nearly 80% of woman and 58% of men say texting, Facebook and other social networking tools lead to sex faster.
Interesting...well there's nothing wrong with keeping the pot warm.
The survey also found 65% of people had been asked out via text message, and 49% through Facebook message.
And they needed a survey to figure out those results?!
Still, the survey also shows that only 38% of women actually say they slept with someone sooner because of their level of digital intimacy.
Well blow me down! Being a digital player with an unlimited text plan gets you play.
Your welcome for the tip. Use it wisely.
Eh you two! Get a room and name your first child after me

10 most toxic common foods
While most people know that cakes and chocolate arent great for your health, there are other seemingly healthy foods whose dangerous properties slip under the radar.
While it is unlikely moderate amounts of these foods will harm you, in large quantities or in certain conditions they may do more damage to your health than you think. Here are some of the most toxic common foods.
(1) Mushrooms
While mushrooms available in most supermarkets should be pretty safe to eat, mushroom fans need to be careful about what species' they are consuming as many varieties can be highly dangerous and even fatal. Around 100 species of mushrooms are said to be dangerous to humans, with symptoms ranging from headaches to seizures or even death. In 2010 a small variety of mushroom called the Little White was blamed for an estimated 400 deaths in China.
(2) Chillies
Chillies are renowned for their heat, which is what makes them so popular. However, it is actually the chemical that causes this spiciness (capsaicin) which can cause toxic effects such as stomach pain, itchy skin and, in extreme cases, death. For most people eating chillies will do little harm, however capsaicin is best eaten sparingly so make sure to take it easy and avoid any chilli eating challenges!
(3) Rapeseed oil
There has been much controversy about this seemingly innocent natural oil, but the general consensus seems to be that it could have many negative implications on our health. Reports state that the rape plant - from which the oil is produced - is extremely toxic, and side effects of consuming its oil could include respiratory problems and blindness.
(4) Rice
It is impossible to dispute that rice has many great health benefits. However, like with most things, it may be best eaten in moderation due to its reportedly unsafe levels of arsenic. One study has suggested that one in five packs of American long-grain rice contain potentially harmful levels of the toxic substance, while others have reported concern for the levels of arsenic in rice milk and baby rice. While there is relatively little risk of the odd bowl of rice causing any long lasting harm, the consumption of high levels of arsenic has been linked to cancer.
(5) Nutmeg
Perhaps one of the most immediately dangerous foods on this list is also one of the most surprising, and that is the common store cupboard spice, nutmeg. Although, like many of the foods on the list, nutmeg does have reported health benefits, it can also be extremely dangerous when taken in large doses. Containing a toxic substance called myristicin, moderate proportions of nutmeg can cause hallucinations, while larger doses can cause convulsions, palpitations, nausea, dehydration and death.
(6) Non-organic apples
Although it is advisable to buy as much organic fruit and veg as you can, in reality this is hard to do on most people's budgets. When making decisions over whether or not to go organic, it is important therefore to note that some foods have a higher concentration of pesticides than others, and apples are one of the fruits that top this list. Because apples are vulnerable to insect infestations and growths, growers are
liable to coat the fruit in chemical pesticides and fungicides, some of which will absorb into its flesh.
To minimise health risks, try to buy organic apples wherever possible, or at least remove the skin before eating.
(7) Farmed Salmon
We may be constantly urged to eat more oily fish, but research has suggested that consuming farmed salmon may not be the best way to do it. A study found that 13 different toxins - including PCBs, which have been classed as a probable human carcinogen by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) - are at much higher levels in farm-raised salmon than in wild salmon. Due to the possible health dangers of consuming these toxins, it is advisable to either reduce your portions of farmed salmon (guidelines are for a half to two portions a month, depending on where the salmon is from) or switch to the wild variety.
(8) Microwave popcorn
Although eating microwave popcorn is not believed to be particularly harmful, it has been found that butter flavoured versions of the snack contain a dangerous chemical (diacetyl) in the flavouring which releases toxic fumes when microwaved. While this has mainly affected factory workers so far - with many developing a lung condition dubbed "popcorn lung" - one consumer is now known to have also developed lung problems due to this toxin. However, this is clearly a case of moderation being key, with the sufferer admitting to eating microwave popcorn at least twice a day for 10 to 12 years. Unless you are eating your popcorn in similar quantities, it is most likely safe to consume popcorn at home, just be careful to avoid the fumes when opening the bag.
(9) Potatoes
Potatoes may look innocent enough, but did you know they actually come from
the same family as poisonous plant the deadly nightshade? Although they are not quite as dangerous as this family member, potatoes do pose certain risks to our health due to them containing toxic compounds known as glycoalkaloids, the most worrying of which is solanine which affects the nervous and digestive systems, causing headaches, weakness, confusion, diarrhoea and vomiting amongst other things. Poisoning from potatoes occurs very rarely but fans of the popular vegetable should take measures to protect themselves by avoiding potatoes with sprouts - which tend to have a higher concentration of glycoalkaloids - and those which have turned green. Although the green colour of the potatoes is harmless in itself, it does indicate that the potatoes have been exposed to light, which can also encourage solanine levels to rise over the safe level for consumption.
(10) Peanuts
Not only are peanuts one of the most common food allergens, but the popular snack may also be dangerous to those who don't suffer from allergies. Peanuts are particularly best avoided by those with kidney or gallbladder problems as they contain oxalates which can crystallise and cause kidney and gallbladder stones.
However, even for the rest of us peanuts can be toxic due to their susceptibility to mould and the frequently occurring presence of aflatoxin - a highly toxic carcinogen - that is produced by a fungus called Aspergillus flavus invading the nuts. If you simply can't resist snacking on peanuts, try to purchase ones produced in arid areas -such as New Mexico -where the soil is dry and the risk of aflatoxins is lower.

7 Universal lies from men
I am not drunk
I won’t hurt you
Let’s stay friends
She’s just a friend
I lost your number
I need time to myself
I’ll start a diet tomorrow
Why just seven you may ask. I couldn't come up with 3 more to make it ten.

Super hero, my butt! Super hero? More like super zero!
So apparently Seattle has super heroes. Why is this the first time I am hearing about this?? Seriously?! The news clip (see below) seems to come off as there is more than one?! Anywayz, turns out these or this superhero wasn't so "super" and ended up getting his nose broke. Hear his side of the story and tell me what you think. Sounds to me like nerd boy in the stupid costume got his ass kicked.

2010 A personal year in review: Better late then never
For me 2010 started off wet. At the time I lived in Tofino so this was no big surprise. Being known for having the largest rainfall in North American what else would you expect in winter.
It all began no different from any other year, work, work, work. Having not headed off to the ski hills again i was continuing my position at the guest house. With 2010 came the third year in my role there. Front desk/office admin, truth have it the title was a glorified name for a front desk guy who made up the form emails. I was jarred into this realization on various occasions throughout 2009. Having recently become engaged and being at the ceiling of my job I was looking forward to 2010 bringing about change.
Change came in the form of a job offer from a big city hostel by the name of Ocean Island Inn. Having been drawn in by guise of the big city and a new go at a stale job the fiancee and I were Victoria bound by late March.
Have you ever looked for a living arrangement in Victoria? Let's just stay this was one of the more frustrating and challenging times for us to date in 2010. This was no Tofino and we did not have the pick of the litter as per who we knew anymore. We were fresh meat! After staying where I worked for 3 agonizing weeks we found a place in downtown Victoria and were offered a house-sitting job for a friend to ride out the time till our new place was ready. Did I mention that we still had a wedding to plan?
When not sightseeing or working wedding planning was in full swing. The months before the wedding flew by and the wedding was suddenly upon us. Having gone so smoothly so far hiccups were bound to happen. First it was anticipated guests not being able to show up. Next we had the MC bail to out to take up his "dream job" in New York. It didn't get any better when a bridesmaid had her transportation cancelled due to a murder near her take off terminal. In the end it all came to together and after a week of fun with friends new and old a few days into July I began the "MR" to the combo of Mr and Mrs William Cook.
With the pre and post wedding hoo hah out of the way it was time to finally settle in to our downtown condo. With all the wedding hustle we apparently didn't find time to do all little things that make a new place home. We had the time so we thought why not. Having a wedding helped too as we had acquired all the this and that to get it done.
Feng shui taken care I was starting to notice my dough eyed look at my new work was starting wear off. Having 7 bosses sharing a brain didn't help either. No suggestions could liven this place up, nor would they take them. Through the grapevine I heard no one with half a brain or a decent skill set stayed at this place long. My revitalization of a boring job was going south fast the only the only thing that saved me was a few days a week I got to sit around and people watch all of my co-workers well pretending to perform maintenance on their computer. Let's just say I learned a lot about my surroundings but I learned more was that I needed a new job and fast. No longer could I be micro managed by this pack of monkeys. By September I was unemployed but the wife had landed a great job with a local sports firm.
Unemployment didn't last long but I did grow rather fond of being a kept man. My wife on the other hand would tell a different story. A few weeks before my 33rd birthday I started a new job at a local tech firm. Being away from the industry for some time I was eager to get back into the swing of things. Let's just say the place is the right fit for me. Having found a new group of co-workers who were just as much nerd as smart ass as I was I found myself right at home. December 23rd I celebrated 3 mths in my new gig and from the looks of things I this could be the beginning of a great employment arrangment.
At the being of the year I questioned leaving Tofino for what was thought to be greener pastures. With every hurdle overcome after leaving I realized the road back to the big city or call it reality would be a rough one but it was a road I wanted to travel. Through partnership and the guidance and assistance of some great people this year turned out to be one of the best of my life. Lets see what 2011 has to bring
